EDGECOMBE COUNTY - The West Edgecombe Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Rock Quarry on Springfield Road just off Highway NC 97 in Edgecombe County for a fire in a large hydraulic drilling machine.
GASTON COUNTY - Firefighters from Crowder’s Mountain Fire and Rescue, Union Road Volunteer Fire Department and Ranlo Fire and Rescue battled a commercial structure fire Sunday morning in Gaston County.
LINCOLN - Crews faced oppressive heat and humidity and long distances to a water supply while fighting a house fire in Denver Wednesday morning.
WAKE COUNTY – Fire departments from two counties responded to a major natural gas leak Monday night, June 23rd, 2014 in the 4700 block of Guy Road.
ASHEVILLE - After Captain Bowen's death, 60 Asheville firefighters volunteered to look at 16 areas that could pose problems in a fire, studying the best practices from around the country. They came up with 155 areas for improvement, but then they zeroed in on six changes that are the most important and required the most innovative changes.
WILSON - Firefighters are currently hitting hotspots from a fire that started at Bridgestone Americas in Wilson.
DAVIDSON COUNTY - The Central Fire Department on Tuesday announced it will donate a fire truck to a station that was destroyed over the weekend in Carteret County.
